This work was created to show a comparison in ones appearance and their confidence. Through the act of doing makeup, styling hair, and wearing accessories this girl is creating a change in her emotional state, even without realizing it, her body language and physical attitude is altered. In the images where her hair is down and her makeup done she is sitting up straighter, shoulders back, eyes stern, but when those extra things are removed she is open to the viewer and becomes more real, raw, natural, and ultimately vulnerable.
